Are cryptocurrencies like nations or more like businesses? I think they are more like companies — you can easily change the cryptocurrency to different one. Not so with a state. A state rules its subjects — while a company or a blockchain can only rule itself.
In politics democracy is prevalent — but in business in the most common voting scheme the votes are proportional to the shares someone has. There are coops where you have the one person one vote rule — but somehow they are a minority in free market economies. Socialists would probably argue that this is wrong. I think it is normal.
